Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps in Central America Q3 2024: Performance Overview

In the third quarter of 2024, the top cryptocurrency apps in Central America displayed diverse performance trends across weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Cryptomania —Trading Simulator from Edusystems OU saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $280 in mid-August, with a noticeable decline towards the end of September. Downloads were robust, hitting a high of approximately 48K in late August, although they tapered off to about 28K by the quarter's end. Active users remained relatively stable, reaching a peak of around 139K in late August before slightly declining to 116K by the end of September.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto maintained a steady presence with no revenue reported, but weekly downloads showed a slight decline from about 19K at the start of July to 9K by the end of September. Active user numbers held strong, fluctuating around 350K throughout the quarter, with a minor increase in mid-September.

Bitso also recorded no revenue. However, its download numbers varied, peaking at around 12K in mid-September before dropping to 4.7K by the end of the month. The app's active users experienced a decline from 163K at the beginning of the quarter to 128K by September's close.

The World App - Worldcoin Wallet showed no revenue but had fluctuating downloads, starting at 7.5K in early July and decreasing to 3.6K by the end of September. Active users increased modestly from 35K to 39K over the quarter, indicating a growing user base.

Finally, the Chivo Wallet also recorded no revenue. Its downloads were relatively stable, peaking at about 5.7K in mid-July and ending the quarter at 4.2K. Active users saw a minor decline, starting at 372K in early July and closing the quarter at 350K.
